The expanding Emma!

Here's a few photos to document that Emma's tummy is growing at a truly astonishing rate. Good thing that it is growing for such a good reason. At the time of shooting the photos Emma was in her 28th week of pregnancy.

Here we are on Fanø with Daniel's parents at the dinner table on Christmas eve (24th of Dec) remembering the birth of little Jesus. Probably our little cloud is having a good time with all the angels! At least Mummy is taking good care of her tummy.

On the 26th we went for a Christmas lunch with Daniel's mother's family (the Jensens) at Uncle Jens' restaurant on the Gudenaa (Denmarks longest "river") near Silkeborg. Everyone admired Emma's beautiful belly. Here Emma is helping out Daniel's mother Lisbeth with the clearing up of the table. Behind them uncle Jens is collecting some bottles.

Only a tiny winy chance...

The title of the post refers to the results of the so called double-test that Emma had undergone in Australia and the results of which we only a couple of days got by mail after waiting for more than a month. So the purpose of the test is to determine the risk of the baby having a chromosome abnormality which cold cause Downs-syndrome. And the adjusted risk factor from the test is only 1:10860! We figure that those are pretty good odds... he, he, the result are two very happy parents to be :)

Hello in there!

On the 31st of October Emma, in her 18th week of pregnancy, had her first ultrasound scanning here in Denmark. So we got another opportunity to have a peek at our little wonder:) The purpose of the scan was to see if all limbs and organs were in place and functioning as God has intended them to! And the good news is that everything was a-okay. Below is a printout of a scan-imgage of the new Cloud in the sky, complete with a hand and a foot.

Intro entry

Hia folks,

Now I'v finaly decided to put a serious entry on to this blog. Mind you, we've had good reasons to hesitate a while to explain the purpose of this particular blog, but now that our closest families are well informed we figure that the time has come to fill out the blanks on this page. So, this blog will be dedicated to updates on the Oblak family (i.e. the Oblaks), and due to the wonderfully romantic mood that we expreienced during our stay in Canberra this family does not only include the two of us. Okay, our new family member is not yet "done", but he/she is growing steadily within Emma's womb. If you still haven't cought the draught then I'll spell it out "we're having a baby!" :) Emma's due date is sometime in mid March, and until that date and afterwards we will post stuff here to keep all our friends out there in the big world (That's you) informed about the three of us.

Watch out!
