First night in Zagreb

At around 7 o'clock we came out of Zagreb's airport and stuffed our bags into our rental car. Then it was time to find our way to Zagreb's centre. This went reasonable easy. Next step was to find a parking spot near the hotel, which was absolutely impossible. Asking in the hotel reception we were allocated a very narrow parking spot right in front of the entrance. When presenting our hotel booking it turned out that they had no reference for it. Hmmm! Fortunately, they did have rooms available and they accepted to charge the discounted price that we had got from our online booking =;). After dragging our goods up to our room we could relax knowing that our Croatian adventure had come well under way!

We arrived a bit late, but still needed to have something to eat. So, even if we had passed Anais' bed time we headed into the streets of Zagreb to find a quick eat. Finally, we paid a visit to a fast local food cafe where Anais had her first "pita".

If home is where people are called the same as you are, then we have come home!

Zagreb's main square Trg Bana Josipa Jelačića full of Christmas lights and decoration. Anais is burning her last energy exploring this new place.

Walking back from our late night dinner we walk along a row of parks to the hotel situated right next to the central railway station (Glavni Kolodvor), shown on the picture.
